Best Potstickers Ever at Bhan Thai
Best Potstickers Ever at Bhan Thai
By now you guys know that I frequently daydream about food. Usually, those daydreams involve food I've eaten in the last 24 hours. Food like the potstickers I had at Bhan Thai last night.
I'm not sure what I was expecting when I took my first bite, but they were the best potstickers I've ever had. Rather than being slimy, steamed and dense, they were stuffed with pork and fresh vegetables and lightly fried. I highly recommend adding some of the sweet and sour peanut sauce.
For dinner, I had the red curry with chicken. It was a huge plate of tender chicken, red and green bell peppers, bamboo shoots and basil, covered in light red curry. The curry wasn't super thick or spicy (though, I'm sure you can ask for more heat if you want it).
Bhan Thai is located in a converted house in Central Gardens. It's intimate and cozy, with only a few tables in each room. When the weather is nice, they've got a huge covered patio and bar out back.
It's worth noting that most of the entrees at Bhan Thai can be cooked with chicken, beef, shrimp or tofu. Also, most of the curries and noodles are priced under $15, with the house special dishes priced around $16 - $25.
