We've all heard the sentiments – “the news only focuses on the bad news and not the good news.”
When I worked as a TV reporter, I heard it almost daily. Although news channels do mix in the positive news with the bad, WREG’s new Live at 9 show will only focus on the good.

Beginning Monday, Live at 9, the show named for the same hour it airs, will go on with a new host that’s familiar to most Memphians, longtime media personality Kontji Anthony. Anthony left WMC in 2022 after 17 years with the station.
Anthony describes the show as a one-stop shop for all things upbeat and positive. She says the show is for anyone seeking advice, inspiration, or just some good news.
The now lifestyle-focused show will continue to air Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. and will showcase all the great things the Memphis area has to offer.
"On the heels of the pandemic, the struggles of inflation and so many other challenges around the world, we need a beacon of positivity and hope," Anthony tells us. "We want to shine a light on the achievements, innovations and inspiring stories that remind us of our community's extraordinary greatness and the great potential within our people."
Because the I Love Memphis Blog is all about telling the positive stories of Memphis and sharing all that there is do, it only seemed like a natural fit to partner with WREG.
I Love Memphis Blog will appear on the show on Thursday for the first week where we’ll bring viewers ideas on what to do ahead of the weekend. Similar to what we do each week with our weekend guide. Look out for future appearances too!
Tune in on-air or online.
