It’s that time again... TONE is hosting their weekend-long celebration of Juneteenth: A Family Reunion.
From June 14th-16th, they have curated back to back events to celebrate Black culture and community in Memphis.
The weekend kicks-off with their Spades Tournament at the TONE Gallery on Friday, June 14th.

If you’ve ever played Spades then you know two things are true...one, that even though you’re playing a game it is no joking matter and two, if you can’t play Spades, you can’t play Spades.
Each team will go head-to-head each round to determine who will win the cash prize and bragging rights of being the Spades Champion.
Next up on the weekend plans is the Gala and the Afterparty at the Orange Mound Lounge on Saturday, June 15th.

The Gala is an evening of beauty, fashion, and fundraising where each of the guests get to dress in the theme. This year they have chosen the theme - Revival: Sunday’s Best.
But what classifies as Sunday’s Best? Well, let me give you a little historical context because this is a staple portion of Black Southern culture.
Enslaved African Americans weren’t afforded the luxury of having a plethora of clothing options... so they saved their best outfit to wear exclusively in church.
Today, Black Americans in the South continue to uphold that tradition by saving their “best dress” or most impeccable outfit to wear at church on Sundays.
TONE is highlighting a staple in Black culture by choosing Sunday’s best as their theme. But still, what classifies as Sunday’s Best?
I can help you with that too. Your Sunday’s best is what makes you feel the most beautiful, confident, and it should be a little flashy too.
Whether you’re wearing an embroidered gown or a suit, make sure you top it all off with accessories: a large hat, gloves, and a lot of jewelry... if you follow these tips you’ll be just fine.
Last but certainly not least, the annual Juneteenth Festival at the Orange Mound Tower on Sunday, June 16th.

Each year TONE ends their weekend-long celebration with their annual Juneteenth Festival. This family friendly festival lasts all day long and it’s the best way to wrap up “the family reunion.”
There will be food trucks, festivities, and performances by local and celebrity headliners.
This year they’re bringing out: Juicy J, Curren$y, DJ Lo Down Loretta Brown a.k.a. Erykah Badu, and Hitkidd.
Trust me, you don’t want to miss out on these Juneteenth festivities.
