Victor Wooten & the Wooten Brothers
The Grove at GPAC
1801 Exeter Rd.
Germantown, TN 38138
The Wooten Brothers' music is an incredible mixture of funk and R&B. Joined by drummer Raymond Massey, bassist John Billings and Roger Williams on sax, these seven musicians leave audiences with a night of unbelievable musicianship.
This übermusical band of brothers has been entertaining audiences since childhood, playing with the likes of the great Curtis Mayfield before striking out on careers of their own.
Victor Wooten, the clan’s most famous son, is widely considered one of the foremost bassists working today. His incredible musical sensitivity and an eye-popping, failsafe technique result in an astounding show with nothing more than his bass—and maybe a drummer. He and brother Roy "Futureman" Wooten are founding members of Béla Fleck and the Flecktones, a jazz-bluegrass-fusion ensemble whose music you mustn’t let pass you by whether live or on record.
Join us on October 20 at 7:30 PM for Victor Wooten and the Wooten Brothers' triumphant return to the Duncan-Williams Performance Hall!
