Graceland’s Father’s Day Weekend CelebrationJune 14-June 16
There’s no better time or place to celebrate Father’s Day than Graceland. If the “Dad” in your life loves live music, BBQ and Elvis, now is the time to plan your summer getaway to Memphis, Tennessee! Spend an unforgettable weekend that is filled with live music, delicious food, hand-rolled cigars, whiskey tasting, an interactive BBQ with a famous Memphis Grill Master, a fabulous Father’s Day Blues Brunch, and so much more!
The weekend is highlighted by two incredible concerts by legendary performers live on the state-of-the-art Soundstage at Graceland.
On Saturday, June 15, Don McLean – one of the greatest singer-songwriters of all time, with songs such as “American Pie,” “Vincent (Starry, Starry Night),” “Castles in the Air,” “And I Love You So,” and many more – takes the stage. Since first hitting the charts in 1971, McLean has amassed over 40 Gold and Platinum records worldwide, and, in 2004, was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. In 2017, “American Pie” was selected for preservation in the National Recording Registry by the Library of Congress as being “culturally, historically, or artistically significant.”
Sunday Night, GRAMMY Award-winner Boz Scaggs is sure to bring back memories of lost loves and summer nights, with the supple growl familiar to anyone who grew up with “Lido Shuffle,” “Lowdown” and “Look What You’ve Done to Me.” Scaggs will feature his legendary blues and R&B covers and originals. His breadth of work is characteristic of a career that not only spanned 50 years but encompassed multiple genres. From his psychedelic days with the original Steve Miller Band, through his early solo albums that incorporated soul and blues, to his Silk Degree pop phase, Scaggs has traversed the musical landscape, holding all his work together with his instantly distinctive delivery.
