Michael Baisden fans and enthusiasts will fill the Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library (3030 Poplar Ave.) for BOOKSTOCK 2018 – Memphis’ premier authors’ festival – Saturday, April 28 at 11 a.m. to meet and greet the nationally-renowned radio personality and author of self-help book, “Raise Your Hands If You Have Issues.” This event, which is free and open to the public, will feature live music, food trucks, face painting for kids, arts & crafts, a balloon artist, bilingual story times, CLOUD901 adventures for teens, dance and choir performances, a scavenger hunt, and lots more. It’s fun for the whole family! More than 40 local authors will also attend, selling and signing their books. Plus, author Wayne Wiegand, who penned “The Desegregation of Public Libraries in the Jim Crow South” and Emily Yellin (“Our Mother’s War”) will be featured guests at the event.
