Memphis Friends of Israel Celebrates 9th Year With Annual Israel Fest
Memphis, Tennessee (October 24, 2016) – Get ready for the Israel Celebration like no other as Memphis Friends of Israel goes all out in celebration of Israel Fest! This year’s event takes place in the Agricenter International on Sunday, November 13, 2016, from 10AM-5PM.
“The Memphis Israel Festival is great for Israel and the local community. What better way to learn about a different culture than while having a fantastic time at a fun filled event?” said Scott Baum, President, Memphis Friends of Israel.
Featuring Food, Music and World Renown Speakers
Music fills the air as bands, children’s choruses and other entertainment take stage. Walk among the educational tents featuring Travel information, Famous and Interesting Israelis, Places and Things. Learn more about Israeli advancements in technology, medicine and agriculture. Children play on the Moon Bounce, Rock Climbing Wall and Slide, have their faces painted, make jewelry or visit the Petting Zoo, while parents browse through a variety of booths featuring Jewish/Israeli Foods and Israeli and American-made Art and Crafts.
Featured Bands include: Bornblum School Student Choir, Israeli Folk Dancers, Wachtel Klezmer Band Naqshons Leap (Blues) – Jason Caplan
Speakers Include: Earl Cox- Israel Always, Professor Abe Haak and Coach Mike Gottfried
In addition to the festival serving authentic Israeli cuisine, the popular Falafel Eating Contest once again returns.
