OK, here's your 5 Things To Do In Memphis This Weekend:

1. 2020 Holly Jolly Celebration, Handy Park, Friday and Saturday, 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m., free, all ages/kid-friendly
Fake snow, holiday music, hot chocolate, and free pictures with a snowglobe-enclosed Santa at the renovated Handy Park—right on Beale Street. Social distancing will be enforced and masks are required.

2. Nutcracker: A Gift From Ballet Memphis, WKNO TV, Friday, 8 p.m., free, all ages/kid-friendly
Since we can’t gather at our local theaters for Nutcracker performances this year, Ballet Memphis is bringing the show to us—for free! Ballet Memphis’s Nutcracker was filmed at their studio and the historic Mallory-Neely house, the show will be broadcast on WKNO and WKNO 2 on Friday, Dec. 11, and then after that through various community partners and Ballet Memphis. Details—and see the trailer below!

3. Toy Truck Benefitting Porter-Leath, Channel 5 Station (1960 Union Ave. by the Chic Fit A), Friday - Saturday, all ages
With no Stumbling Santa pub crawl* and a pandemic affecting families' incomes, the need for Toy Truck is greater than ever! Make a kid's holiday special by donating new, unwrapped toys or funds. Just drop off your toys and donations at the Action News 5 parking lot this Friday from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. or Saturday from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. There's one more drop off date on Dec. 19 at IKEA—or you can donate online or text TOY to 50155.

4. Homegrown Holiday Market, Memphis Farmers Market, Saturday, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m., free to enter, all ages
The downtown Farmer’s Market is bad for one weekend, holiday-style, with local produce, vendors, pre-made food and goodies, too. While you're in a shopping mood, don't forget to check out the Holiday Markets Guide or shop online with the 100 local stores w. the Local Online Shopping Guide.

5. Drive-Thru Santa Express, 3475 Central Ave., Saturday and Sunday, $10 per vehicle, all age/kid-friendly
The Junior League of Memphis will host a drive-through Santa visit at their HQ (near Central and Highland) on Saturday (10 a.m. - 2 p.m.; 5 p.m.-7 p.m.) and Sunday (1 p.m. - 3 p.m.). Families take photos with Santa from the safety of your vehicle. Pre-purchase photos online or buy while you’re there.
