Are you a wine expert? A wine novice? Somewhere in between? Wherever you fall on the connoisseur scale, the Pink Palace is back with another educational and entertaining Science of Wine on Friday, August, 16th, 2019.

The event is from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Pink Palace Mansion, and there are still tickets available until August 9th only for $65 plus fees. There are no tickets sold at the door, and you have to be 21+.

This year, there are tons of wines and lots of food pairings from some of your favorite local restaurants (list below).

Here are the details/reasons to attend:

– taste many varieties and styles of wine
– learn about the actual, well, science behind wine and winemaking with cool demos and hands-on activities
– get food samples from a dozen local restaurants, which actually include a lot of my personal favorites in town:

–  Alchemy
– Babalu
– Bounty on Broad
– Char
– Ecco on Overton Park
– Erling Jensen
– J. Brooks Coffee
– K-3 Studio Café
– Midsouth Malts
– Nothing Bundt Cakes
– Rizzo’s
– The Capital Grille
– Tom’s Tiny Kitchen
– Wolf River Popcorn

– tickets are $65 ($60 for Pink Palace members) and you can get them here

Proceeds benefit the Pink Palace Education department, which educates kids from around the area about natural history and science all year-round. It’s a very cool program, and you can support it while you learn a lot about wine.
