While Graceland has a full schedule of events, local Memphis businesses are getting in on the Elvis fun, too. Here are some of the unofficial special events and deals going on around town.

Backstage Experience Tour at Overton Park Shell

Learn all about the history of the Shell and see never-before-seen photos from the decades of musical history at the Shell’s Backstage Experience tour. I’ve taken it and it’s a must for every Memphis lover or music lover – it goes way beyond Elvis too. Click here to reserve your spot.

Elvis “Hound Dog” Tour With Backbeat Tours

See all the major Elvis sites while riding around town on a cool vintage bus. Add-on option for a visit to Lauderdale Courts is available. 

Memphian Theater Elvis Tours

Hear about Elvis’s connection to the Memphian Theater in Overton Square, which movies he watched there and stories that the pros from Playhouse on the Square have researched about Elvis when he would visit the theatre.

Morning ELVIS Movie 

On August 16, Studio on the Square will host a special screening of the ELVIS movie at 9:30 a.m. Doors at 8:30 a.m. and the first 50 fans get a collector goody bag.

Hit Beale Street for Elvis Tribute Artists

Beale Street bars will have special performances from tribute artists. Elvis Priestly will be at Silky's on Friday and Saturday at 6:30 p.m.

Special Elvis Tribute Concert

On August 9, join Brad Birkedahl and his band at The Circuit Playhouse for an Elvis Tribute Concert where they’ll perform a deep dive of Elvis cuts – songs only the TRUE fans know. 

Picks & Flicks Summer Movies: Elvis!

Head to MoSH on Aug. 12 for a night of drinks and games with the opportunity to see some great films with the traveling exhibition America at the Crossroads: The Guitar and a Changing Nation. We will be screening music related films with pre-show content and fun and games, so come join us to do one or the other, or both!

Bill Cherry - The Final Tour

It’s been 45 years since the passing of the King of Rock n Roll, Elvis Presley. After his death, CBS released Elvis In Concert from his Final Tour.

The 2009 Ultimate Tribute Champion, Bill Cherry, will pay tribute to that CBS Special with this show.  The Final Tour featuring Bill Cherry will emulate the excitement that was and is Elvis In Concert.  Bill stated, “It’s a part of Elvis’ career that is often overlooked, but everyone remembers 1977 and him performing in his Aztec Sundial suit”.  

Concert is on August 12 at 2:45 p.m.

Make a wish at the Elvis Shrine

Here's a fun cheeky thing to do. May the spirit of E hear your plea! This temporary art installation at Voodoo Cafe is a fun cheeky homage to Elvis and all the great tribute artists. The cafe will be featuring their signature Dead Elvis beignet which is a freshly made beignet covered in peanut butter, bananas, honey and bacon.

Mighty Lights for Elvis Week

On Aug. 16, Mighty Lights will glow white and gold for Elvis Week. You can expect dynamic hearts and song titles to show during it.

Catch an Elvis movie at Majestic Grille

Did you know Elvis was in 35+ films? You can catch one being played at The Majestic Grille during Elvis Week. The historic theatre spaced turned restaurant still celebrates the cinematic splendor with their large silver screen that plays movies -- including Elvis ones during Elvis Week. Expect drink specials too.

Hit Lansky Bros Pop Up Events

Lanksy Bros, the clothier to the King, will host multiple events during Elvis Week: a book signing with Kristi Emmons (8/11 at 1-3 p.m.), Permanent Jewelry Pop Up (8/11 at 2-6 p.m.), Lansky Book signing with Hal and Julie Lansky (8/12) with the Lansky vintage truck out front for photo ops.
