You know Memphis is full of talented mixologists and full of ways to give back to the community…if you’re into either of those things, join Volunteer Odyssey on March 2 for their annual Mix-Odyssey cocktail tasting party!

The party is at the Memphis Botanic Garden from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. and tickets are $75, unless you use code ILM when you checkout, then you’ll get 10 percent off ($67.50!)

You need to get your tickets now before this event sells out.

Here’s what you get with your ticket:

  • Seven (7!!) cocktail samples
  • hors d’oeuvres
  • fortune telling for your volunteer future
  • Kendra Scott jewelry pull
  • the power to choose the winning cocktail

And should you choose to spring for VIP, you’ll get ten cocktails.

Here’s a list of who’s competing this year for Judge’s Pick favorites and People’s Choice awards:

David Hacking from The Grey Canary

Nick Lumpkin from Sweet Grass Next Door

Lauren Scearce from Hog & Hominy

Mitchell Marable from PO Press

Ben Williams from Alchemy

Stephanie Cook from the Beauty Shop

Brad Pitts from the Germantown Performing Arts Center

We’re actually doing a ticket giveaway on Instagram that you can enter here.

Mix-Odyssey is a cocktail-making contest where you can taste them all and vote for your favorites, all while you snack on appetizers and listen to sweet tunes.

Don’t forget, proceeds benefit Volunteer Odyssey: the folks behind our monthly “10 Ways To Love Memphis This Month” posts. I’ve been to Mix Odyssey the past few years and trust me; they know how to throw a party.

For more info on Volunteer Odyssey’s mission to match up volunteers with organizations they’ll love, check out volunteerodyssey.com or follow them on Facebook or Twitter.

I write about what’s going on with Memphis music, food, arts, events, sports, people, and culture. Memphians love Elvis and barbeque with a passion that must be seen to be believed, but there is so much more to this place.
