Eat Some Asian Fusion At Sushi Jimmi (Closed)

Sushi Jimmi Asian Fusion Restaurant: Memphis Sushi Food Truck
Back in 2015, I came across Sushi Jimmi when it was posted up at Memphis Made Brewing in Cooper Young. The Asian-fusion and sushi serving mobile restaurant gained a dedicated local following as they traveled around to other breweries and local events for the next year.
In 2017, Chef Jimmy Sinh and his team opened a brick-and-mortar location in East Memphis. People love them for their big sushi rolls, crawfish nachos, kimchi fries, egg rolls, and more. The Asian fusion thing is what sets Sushi Jimmi apart from other sushi spots.
When I first tried Sushi Jimmi, I had the Japanese tacos with panko-breaded chicken, pico, cilantro, aioli, and avocado; my pal tried the Los Angeles roll. Both items are still on the menu, plus plenty of other specialty fusion items like sushi burritos, spicy crawfish nachos (served on a bed of cheesy, finger-licking Doritos. Yes. Doritos), fried rice, and more.
Sushi Jimmi has occasional specials so be sure to follow them on Facebook and Instagram where they post updates. They are no longer doing the food truck, and there was some question about the restaurant, too, but it looks like it’s staying open for the foreseeable future.
Also, if you live in the delivery zone, you can order Sushi Jimmi to be delivered via the Door Dash app.
