Here’s your weekend guide:


1. Marvel Universe Live, Landers Center, Friday – Sunday, $23 and up, all ages/kid-friendly
Unite in a race against time to defeat Loki in an epic quest to defend the universe from evil – in Southaven! For real, though, see your favorite heroes do a bunch of exciting stunts and tricks! There are shows on Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 11 a.m., 3 p.m., and 7 pm., and Sunday at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.

2. New Year’s At Noon, Children’s Museum of Memphis, Saturday, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., $15 nonmembers/free for members, all ages/kid-friendly
Celebrate 2019 with the little ones at CMOM’s annual family-friendly NYE midday celebration, with activities and fun: a DJ, hula hoops, temporary hair bling, noise maker craft and face painting. What’s a new year’s party without a balloon drop and goody toss? This event is included in $15 museum admission.

3. Poleluminati, Growlers, Saturday, 5 p.m. – 8 p.m., $15 and up, 18+ 
Poleluminati is back on Saturday, December 29th, bringing you a very special New Years celebration. Ring in 2019 with the hottest show in town. Pole Dancing, Aerial Arts, Burlesque, Belly Dancing, Contortion, and more. For grown folks.

4. Liberty Bowl Parade & Pep Rally, Beale Street / Handy Park, Sunday, 3 p.m., free, all ages, kid-friendly
Celebrate Monday’s Liberty Bowl with Mizzou and Oklahoma State fans on Beale STreet. The parade starts at 3 p.m., followed by the Pep Rally in Handy Park at 4:30 p.m.

5. Basketball Games, FedExForum, Saturday, noon / 7 p.m., prices vary, all ages/kid-friendly 
– The Tigers men’s team takes on Florida A&M on Saturday at noon
Grizz play the Celtics also on Saturday at 7 p.m.
