1. South Main Trolley Night, South Main, Friday, 6 p.m. – 9 p.m., free, all ages/kid-friendly
Enjoy open houses at shops and galleries all along Main Street. This month,  you can get a sneak peek of the new market at 409 S. Main – which will have a couple of vendors set up and flamenco music, Pretty Useful will host a print show and pop-up art shop at Stock & Belle, open rooftop patio at Old Dominick, and plenty of discounts and live music all over.

2. JustLarry’s MAYHEM, Evergreen Theater, Friday – Saturday, 8 p.m., $20, 21+
And now for something completely different…JustLarry offers us a “cabaret of curiosities” at midtown’s Evergreen Theater, including burlesque, aerialists, acrobats, illusionists, musicians, comedians, special effects, and more. If you haven’t seen a JustLarry show, what are you waiting for?

3. Germantown International Festival, Agricenter International, Saturday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m., free, all ages/kid-friendly
Authentic foods, live performances and more, celebrating the cultures of dozens of countries. Hosted by the Rotary Club of Germantown. Bring the whole family.

4. Mid-South Renaissance Faire, USA Baseball Stadium Millington, Saturday – Sunday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., $10 adults/$12 kids 6-12//under 6 free
The theme of this year’s faire, held in the Shire of Shelby, will be the reign of Queen Elizabeth I. Learn Elizabethan dances, be knighted by the Queen herself, browse the merchant rows, enjoy the performers, sail the seas with the Mid-South Buccaneers, and cheer on your favorite jouster.

5. Meritan Midnight Classic Bicycle Tour, Kickoff at the Liberty Bowl, Saturday, 10 p.m., all ages
Midtown’s streets become super accessible to cyclists during the Midnight Classic Bike Tour. The leisurely 17-mile escorted ride starts and ends at Tiger Lane by the Liberty Bowl (this means that there will be traffic delays around town in the middle of the night on Saturday).Prior to the ride, enjoy the Moonlight Tailgate featuring live music from City Mix, food, bike shops, the Beale Street Flippers and fun. Don’t forget your helmet or your bike light.

I write about what’s going on with Memphis music, food, arts, events, sports, people, and culture. Memphians love Elvis and barbeque with a passion that must be seen to be believed, but there is so much more to this place.
