Save The Date: 901 Day Celebration At AutoZone Park

Announcement! The New Memphis Institute will host a big celebration at AutoZone Park on 901 Day again this year!

Exposure will showcase everything that's awesome in Memphis. So save the date for Thursday, August 30, 2018.

On 901 Day – in other cities, just known as September 1, 2017 – the whole city is invited to celebrate. Come out to AutoZone Park on Sept. 1 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for lots of fun. On 901 Day at AutoZone Park, you can:

  1.  Meet 150+ local organizations (think arts, culture, outdoors, recreation, nonprofits, and more)
  2. Join the cheering section: 2nd annual local celebrity kickball games starts at 6 p.m.
  3. Partake: Free food and beer samples, while supplies last.

You’ll find Memphis magic around every corner at AutoZone Park during Exposure on 901 Day. Expect hijinks from the Beale Street Flippers, sounds from local musicians, beats from the Grizz Drumline, plus all kinds of local art performances and demonstrations.

Everyone’s welcome: Exposure is free to attend. Please RSVP so that we can roll out the red carpet for you!

Why is this 901 Day throwdown at AutoZone park called "Exposure"? Because the point is to "expose" Memphians to everything that's going on in our city, with an emphasis on ways to get involved.

If you want your organization to become part of the Exposure experience, just give New Memphis a shout. Participation is free. Please contact [email protected]. Check out the event's website here.

(What's 901 Day? If you're new to Memphis...know that 901 Day has always been a sort of informal holiday in Memphis, a way for folks to celebrate our city on the day with the same numbers as our area code.)
