This Weekend: Drink Up and Give Back At Mix-Odyssey 2017

This Saturday March 4 is Volunteer Odyssey's fourth annual Mix-Odyssey event: a cocktail-making contest where you can taste them all and vote for your favorites, all while you snack on appetizers and listen to sweet tunes.

I'm filling this post with delicious pictures of fancy drinks in an attempt to make you thirsty...

Mix-Odyssey is at BRIDGES this Saturday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Your ticket gets you seven (yes, seven!) cocktail samples from local mixologists, hors d'oeuvres, music from the Grizzlies' official DJ Justin Baker, and a fortune teller to help you find out your volunteering future.

soooo refreshing

You need to get your tickets now, though, because there are no ticket sales at the the door. Luckily, Volunteer Odyssey is giving me a special discount code just for I Love Memphis readers - enter ILoveMemphis at checkout at get $5 off.

Vincent Hale from Bari/Dodici pouring a fancy cocktail. He'll pour you one at Mix-Odyssey!

Tickets are $65 per person + fees (only $60 if you use the code) and the proceeds benefit Volunteer Odyssey: the folks behind our monthly "10 Ways To Love Memphis This Month" posts. I've been to Mix Odyssey the past few years and trust me; they know how to throw a party.

are you thirsty yet?

The mixologists are from places like Dodici, Hog & Hominy, Cafe Pototoc, Catherine & Mary's, plus several independent craft cocktail experts. See all the details here.

cheers!

mmm minty fresh

Sadly, I won't be in town for the event this weekend, so I'm counting on y'all to drink a cocktail (or seven) for me and take lots of pictures and tag 'em #ilovememphis. Don't forget to drink responsibly, and call a cab or get an Uber or Lyft.

I, myself have been to Memphis in may but it's been since like 2005. I really loved it. This year my best friend has been battling cancer over a year and instead of calling it a bucket list she calls it her fuck it list. And on that list is to do this and Saturday lineup is all kinds of the music we like. We are hoping (my husband and I) to afford to take her that day.
