Tuesday (Jan. 26)

Wednesday (Jan. 27)
American Quirk Film Series continues at the Brooks with “Vernon, Florida” at 7 p.m.
ATTN jam band fans: Railroad Earth is at the New Daisy on Wednesday at 8 p.m.
The IBC continues with daytime showcases and Quarter Finals on Beale Street.
Steve Selvidge, Jimmy Crosswait, Ben Baker, and Luke White perform at DKDC at 7:30 p.m.
Lafayette’s hosts a Club Night with Wick-it the Instigator with GuTTa KicK and purplecatjane at 10 p.m.
The Dixon hosts Art After Dark, a monthly event where galleries and gardens are open 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. with light refreshments and a cash bar.
Thursday (Jan. 28)
Learn about aromatherapy and essentials oils at Panera Bread at Trinity Commons at 6:30 p.m. Free. Hosted by Team Healing Essence.
Grizzlies v. Bucks at 7 p.m. at FedExForum

Theatre Memphis presents The Lion In Winter Thursdays through Sundays until Feb. 7.
Byhalia Mississippi the play continues at TheatreWorks Thursdays through Sundays until Jan. 31.
The IBC continues on Friday with daytime showcases, (including a Women In Blues showcase and Youth showcase, plus the Semi-Finals and late-night jams. The Finals are on Saturday at noon at The Oprheum. Click here for details.

MCA hosts an opening reception for “Sunset/Sunrise” at the Hyde Gallery from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. on Friday.
Circuitous Succession presents a gallery talk for artist Sarah Ahmad from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. on Friday.
The Dixon hosts “Wine Down: The Cheese Edition” on Friday at 6 p.m.
Vince Carter and the Memphis Grizzlies host the annual Staxtacular event at the Stax Museum. $175 ticket gets you food, open bar, dancing, live music, and a chance to meet Grizzlies players.
Stock&Belle hosts an opening reception for “Year Of Fear” exhibition from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. on Friday.
Live music rundown for Friday: Gerald Stephens and Jeremy Shrader perform at GPAC at 7 p.m. South Main Sounds hosts a Songwriter Night at 7 p.m. The Sheiks and Duma perform at the Lamplighter at 11 p.m.
“The Other Place” opens at Circuit Playhouse on Friday, Jan. 29 and runs through Feb. 21.
The Brooks Museum hosts a Community Day for their Folk Art In America exhibit on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It’s free, and there will be activities for kids.
