Memphis Men’s and Women’s Chorale Present “A Cambridge Christmas” at St. Peter Catholic Church
The two choirs present their third annual joint Christmas concert at 7 p.m. at St. Peter downtown. Suggested donation is $10.
- Tuesday
Disney musical "Newsies" opens Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Orpheum and plays through December 13. Tickets are $25 - $100.
The Grizzlies take on the Thunder at 7 p.m. at FedExForum.
- Wednesday
Carlos Valencia Comedy Show at The P&H Cafe
Indie comic Carlos Valencia performs with a group of local comics. 8 p.m. $5.
The Memphis Brooks Museum will show three music-focused documentaries from filmmaker Les Blank at 7 p.m. $9 nonmembers/$5 members.
Bubbly Tasting at Midtown Crossing Grill (394 N. Watkins)
Enjoy champagnes, sparkling wines, and hors d'oeuvres at a guided tasting with Chris Wicher. 6:30 p.m. $25.
The Grizz play the Pistons at 6:30 p.m. in Detroit.
- Thursday
Interfaith Prayer Service for Truth at B.B. King Blvd. and Adams Ave.
Join representatives from 20+ local congregations and organizations in a prayer and public service focusing on race relations and history in Shelby County. Noon to 1:30 p.m.
GiVE 365 Holiday Cocktails at the Community Foundation (1900 Union Ave).
Learn more about GiVE 365's plans for 2016 over drinks and light snacks. 5:30 p.m.
James and the Ultrasounds perform at Lafayette's at 9 p.m.
- Weekend
The Kroc Center will host a family-friendly Christmas musical, "A Lifetime of Christmas" Thursdays through Sundays beginning on December 11 until December 20. Tickets are pay-what-you-can. Get showtimes here.
The Stax Museum hosts the Maitre Ds performing Booker T. and the MGs "In The Christmas Spirit" on Friday. $10 donation. 6 p.m.
The Grizz play the Hornets at home at 7 p.m. on Friday. They travel to Miami on Sunday to play the Heat at 5 p.m.
The 2015 Indie Memphis Holiday Market will be at Muddy's Midtown on Saturday. 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.
The Memphis Tigers men's basketball team takes on the Manhattan College Jaspers at 7 p.m. at FedExForum on Saturday.
Tony Manard performs at Memphis Mad Tap Room on Saturday at 5 p.m. The Dirty Streets "White Horse" album release show is at the Hi-Tone at 9 p.m. on Saturday ($10).
Time Warp: Disturbed Christmas Double Feature is Saturday at 10 p.m. at Studio on the Square. Get weird with "Bad Santa: Uncut" and "Santa Slays". $10.
The first-ever Grilled Cheese Festival in Memphis will be held this weekend in Crosstown in front of the Hi-Tone. Details on the poster below or on the Facebook event. Expect crowds and bring an extra dose of patience. It's gonna be a big one for a first-year event.
