Free Music Alert: Levitt Shell Fall 2015 Concert Series Lineup

Posted by Holly Whitfield | August 12th 2015 7244 0

Go ahead and clear your weekends for free music – the Levitt Shell has released the schedule for their fall concert series.

If you've never been before, the shows are family friendly and super fun. You're allowed to bring blankets and lawn chairs, and coolers and picnic baskets are welcome. Alcohol is allowed for those over 21, and if you're not into bringing food, there's usually at least one food truck usually on hand.

Most, but not all, of the shows are free and most begin at 7 p.m. I'd arrive early to snag a spot.

Here's the lineup:

Sept. 4 – Eric Hutchinson
Sept. 6 – North Mississippi Allstars (part of Rock for Love)
Sept. 11 – Big George Brock
Sept. 12 – Larry Rasberry and the High Steppers
Sept. 13 – Marcella and Her Lovers
Sept. 18 – Opera Memphis
Sept. 19 – Memphis Renaissance & Harlem
Sept. 20 – Royal Southern Brotherhood
Sept. 26 – Three Dog Night (paid concert)
Oct. 2 – The Suffers
Oct. 3 – Charles Lloyd
Oct. 9 – St. Paul & The Broken Bones
Oct. 10 – The Subteens

I write about what’s going on with Memphis music, food, arts, events, sports, people, and culture. Memphians love Elvis and barbeque with a passion that must be seen to be believed, but there is so much more to this place.
