East Memphis Gets A New Coffee Shop: Tamp & Tap Triad
East Memphis’ newest coffee shop will be familiar to some. Tamp & Tap Triad (second location of Tamp & Tap) is now open in the group of corporate offices near Poplar and Shady Grove.
Tamp & Tap Triad opened a few days ago with the same sleek feel of the downtown location, but it’s not identical. The new one is a bit more industrial, with more neutrals and less orange, more leather, less wood. There are booths, comfy chairs, and tables behind a sheer curtain, so the space is divided into separate areas.
Right now, they’re serving non-alcoholic beverages (coffees, teas, soda) Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and breakfast food until 10:30 a.m. The menu is the same as the downtown location: English muffins, breakfast sandwiches, and pastries.
Tamp & Tap Triad will eventually extend hours and serve more food and beer like the original location. It seems squarely aimed at the folks working in the adjacent buildings, and is also a good place to get some work done during the day or grab a quick coffee and breakfast if you’re in East Memphis.
To get to the new Tamp & Tap, turn onto Shady Grove from Poplar Avenue and it’s on your left. It’s just west of the Regalia Shopping Center, with Ruth’s Chris and all that. Here’s a map so you can get a general idea.
