Great article Holly....Sometimes when you wake up in the morning, the weather is so perfect there's nothing you can do but get in the car for a Delta Road Trip.  You hit some great spots on yours and there are many, many more.  All it takes is a little time for so much culture and history.

Thanks Mark! I'll go into a bit more detail in the coming weeks.

If you missed Crave Bistro and Delta Fast Food this time around, I would highly recommend them the next time you are in Cleveland. Crave has a selection of homemade muffins and cupcakes everyday, which are really good. Like most cupcake shops, they pile on the icing and tend to be a little sweet for me. But, if they have it, try the Banna Pudding cupcake. That one is exceptional. They also have a nice lunch menu. The Reuben with Pasta salad is excellent. My go-to lunch when working at a plant nearby. As for Delta Fast Food, it showed up on a Food Network show one day, so I tried it out. The tamales are good, but the Rib Tips make a great inexpensive meal at a very reasonable price.  On the way home, the Shady Nook Convenience Store on 61 right outside Clarksdale has some VERY good tamales. They have a nice spicy kick to them, and again, the price is hard to beat.

Neat post, Holly!  It's interesting to know what we can find in a short drive from Memphis. Thank you for all your hard work!!
