10 Things You Need To Know About The Revival at the Tennessee Brewery

Hallelujah! It's almost time for The Revival at the Tennessee Brewery, one of the many reasons why this spring in Memphis is going to be the best ever. The Revival is eight weeks of beer, food, music, art, and much more, taking place in a chill, hangout-friendly environment.

Brewery Revival

Here's what you need to know to make the most of this seasonal event, which kicks off on April 9 and goes through May 31. I'm particularly excited about number 10, but I'm biased. Check out the slideshow below to see what the Brewery looks like this year.

1. Details
The Revival will be at the Tennessee Brewery (495 Tennessee Street) on Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sundays from noon to 9 p.m. Revival is April 9 through May 31.

2. Beer
Stay true to The Brewery's history by enjoying 22 different beers on tap. The beers will be a mix of local and not-local brews, including some cool surprises. Follow the Tennessee Brewery's Facebook page for the latest info.

3. Music
Enjoy live music from local musicians on Saturdays and Sundays from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., plus random pop-up performances. You can keep up with the lineup as it's updated on the Tennessee Brewery's Facebook page.

4. Food
Get yourself some grub from at least two food trucks every day The Revival is open. The Brewery's Twitter account is the best way to keep up with which food trucks will be where on what day.

5. 95% Family-Friendly
Feel free to bring the kids to The Revival almost anytime, as the space has been improved for safety and is totally family-friendly. You won't have to show an ID at the door or pay a cover.

If you have the little ones out very late on a Friday or Saturday night (especially during Music Fest or BBQ Fest) keep in mind that the crowd will likely be bustling, loud, and a little lubricated.

6. Live Art
The Revival is gathering a group of Memphis artists to create original works of art, and you can watch them at work. Artists will be stationed inside the brewery throughout the weekends. Use hashtag #BreweryRevival to keep up with in-progress art.

7. Landscaping and Lighting
Prepare your Instagrams, because the Tennessee Brewery has gotten a bit of a facelift since last year's Brewery Untapped. The Revival will showcase new landscaping, some structural changes, better bathrooms (hooray!) and different lighting.

8. Swag
Memphians love Memphis t-shirts just about as much as they love Memphis. Lucky for you, there will be a run of limited edition The Revival shirts from Sache and other merch for sale.

9. Screening Room
The NBA playoffs begin on April 19, and if you're on the Grizzlies bandwagon (which I hope you are), you're going to want to watch the games. Luckily, there's a Screening Room at the Brewery so you can keep track the home town. It's like a built-in watch party.

10. I Love Memphis Podcast: Live From The Brewery!
The I Love Memphis Podcast is taking the show on the road for the months of April and May. With the help of our pals at OAM Audio and the kind folks at The Revival, we'll be recording and broadcasting live from the Brewery every other Thursday afternoon, starting April 9.

You'll be able to listen live at theoamnetwork.com/live.

Listen to this super quick clip to hear Kevin and me discuss what's up with I Love Memphis: Live From The Brewery.

Listened to the podcast while I was running this morning. Sure makes the miles go by faster! Enjoyed the segment with Star and Micey. Nice to know you're a sandwich lover. I am too!

Hi Kira! These comments go to me at I Love Memphis, not the Tennessee Brewery. To answer your question: as far as I know, they are not open tonight. You can check their Facebook page for more updates!

I'd argue you need to know that the price of a beer is $10. Would have saved me a trip.
