Here’s the 2015 Peabody Rooftop Party Schedule

Here’s one way to be sure that spring is coming to Memphis soon: the Peabody Hotel has released their 2015 rooftop party schedule.

The Peabody’s rooftop parties have been a staple of Memphis’ spring and summer social life since 1939. They’re hugely popular – the rooftop can hold hundreds of people, and it’s one of the best places to see the sunset over the Mississippi River. This is the 76th Year of the Peabody rooftop parties.

Here’s the music lineup:

April 16: Hollywood with special performance by Shaggy *
April 23: Walrus
April 30: The Brad Birkedahl Band with special performance by Cash Cash *
May 7: Twin Soul with special performance by Andy Grammar *
May 14: Ghost Town Blues Band
May 21: The Molly Ringwalds
May 28: Swingin’ Leroy
June 4: Frankie Hollie & The Noise
June 11: Seeing Red

July 2: The 17th Floor
July 9: Star &Micey with Tyrannosaurus Chicken
July 23: Your Girlfriend
July 30: The Dantones

* 15 special event admission

Admission to most of the rooftop parties is $10, which includes access to the snack buffet (drinks are extra). Ladies, get there early – you get in free before 7 p.m. If you’re planning to go most Thursdays, get a VIP season pass for $150 that gets you into all 18 parties, free valet parking, access to a special VIP food and drink area, and other goodies.

    What is the average age at these events? We’re late 30s but was wondering if it is a 20s type of crowd or not? Also is the dress to the nines or more of a weekend casual?

      Faye and Carolyn, They haven’t released the lineup for the secnd half of the season yet, so we’ll have to wait and see.
