I write about what’s going on with Memphis music, food, arts, events, sports, people, and culture. Memphians love Elvis and barbeque with a passion that must be seen to be believed, but there is so much more to this place.

Is Jenny Lewis on Friday correct? Maybe Jerry Lewis?

  2. Stephanie says:

I have never been to the festival before, but wondering when a lineup by the hour is posted? My son wants to see Slash on May 1, and we are coming from out of town. Can you advise?

    • Holly Whitfield says:

They’ll post the lineup times and stages in the couple of months. You can be sure I’ll be posting that information as soon as it becomes available. You can follow Beale Street Music Festival or me (I Love Memphis) on Facebook or Twitter for the fastest info.

  3. Ross Collier says:

I'm coming over from England for this…. Can't wait!!

  4. Mona osborn says:

Is Jerry Lee Lewis going to be performing ????

  5. Spencer says:

    Is this festival family-friendly?

    • Holly Whitfield says:

Spencer, Things can get pretty crowded (shoulder to shoulder at times) and many will be enjoying adult beverages. Late night on Friday and Saturday could get a little rowdy with folks really getting into the music, but nothing too crazy. Teens and older tweens who are looking forward to certain bands and don’t mind being stuck in a crowd would have a great time; it might be a little iffy with younger kids, but day time shows (especially maybe Sunday or the blues tent) could be a fun time! It kind of depends on your family and age of your kids.

  6. jamie carl says:

what time does the music stop at the festival?

  7. cindy says:

Is that Ryan Adams on friday or Bryan Adams???

  8. cindy says:

To those who have never been to memphis in may, You must go at least one day- you'll never forget it-I'v been several times over the years-I love the blues tent as much as the main stages! You'll have the time of your life

  9. Mark says:

    Cindy – it's Ryan Adams

  10. Wayne says:

I'm coming Friday night and I'm only interested in the Rockstar Energy Drink Stage.  I know from previous years that it's a long walk from the north to the south end.  I want to figure out where to park.  Does anyone know yet what the stage layout will be?
