I Love Memphis Food & Drink Week 2014

In honor of the Association of Food Journalists descending upon Memphis for their annual conference, I'm dedicating the rest of this week to two of Memphians' favorite things: food and drink!

The next couple of days, I'll be sharing lots of posts about Memphis food and drink. Here's what I have planned. I'll update the links as the posts go live.
1.  "My Top 13 Favorite Food Posts" (a roundup of my favorite food posts from this past year)
2. A list of Memphis' best food bloggers

– Updated guide to cheap drinking in Memphis
– A Memphis Food and Drink Quiz

I want your input, too. What's the best meal you ever ate in Memphis? It could have been great because of the story, the atmosphere, the food, or the company.

Here's one from reader and awesome photographer Ariel Antonio (who you should follow on Instagram @aleksworks)

"One of the best things I've had in Memphis is the Spicy Korean Ramen with beef at Crazy Noodle on Madison Ave. The first time I had it was during the last snow/ice storm we had. Something about a well season, not to spicy, hot soup that was delicious about it. I still go back for it every 3 weeks or so."

I write about what’s going on with Memphis music, food, arts, events, sports, people, and culture. Memphians love Elvis and barbeque with a passion that must be seen to be believed, but there is so much more to this place.

I will always remember my first bite of duck fried rice at South of Beale. It’s a taste that I have since enjoyed often.

  3. Hey Holly & Memphis,

You should check out Andrea LeTard’s food blog called Andrea’s Cooktales! She pairs amazing dishes with a story, because seriously all the best stories are told around food! She has recently had two back to back cooking segments on ABC 24’s Local Memphis.
