The best show I ever attended at the Orpheum was The Blue Man Group in November 2012. With a combination of art, humor and music my wife and I witnessed one of the greatest performances ever. The Blue Man Group also makes you feel like you're at a party during the show!!

I have seen a number of shows but the one I remember most are taking my mother (who has since passed away) to see Les Miserables.  I also remember exactly where we were sitting when the chandelier came crashing down in Phantom!  And we were sitting front and center to see all of the dancing in Chorus Line.

I have never been to a show at the Orpheum, however as a fan of the theatre I always have wanted to go. If I was to pick a show I would want to see either Cats or Memphis. Saying that though, my excitement level is higher for this as I am a local chef at Tart and we have been talking about this for weeks at work. Plus I love your blog and would be able to support local artist by being in the mix. GO MEMPHIS!!!!

My favorite show I've seen at the Orpheum isn't an actual stage production . It's the opening installment of this year's Summer Movie Series. It was Zombie Night and people came donning their scariest zombie costumes. As people filed in, an organist played creepy music. I enjoyed fresh popcorn, Jack and coke and a double feature complete with an intermission in a setting reminiscent of the guilded theaters of the golden age of Hollywood. It was truly a treat and one I which I got to see the Orpheum in a different, more relaxed light.

My favorite show at the Orpheum was "The Color Purple" back in 2010.  It was a pretty big production that went all across the nation and stopped in Memphis. The most memorable portion of the play to me was the lighting on the stage.  The background showing a sunny country field and setting sun.  The Lion King will be a great production! I've seen some of the pictures from their rehersals and they look amazing!  I think the musicals and dancing will be wonderful!
