Save the Date: Boys & Girls Clubs Toy Bash

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Memphis is having an upscale throwdown this Saturday at Minglewood Hall to support their many programs for local kids. If you are into celebrating and socializing for a good cause, this event is for you.

The Toy Bash has all the staples of a great Memphis gala: a feast, live music, a University of Memphis pom squad appearance, Amurica Photobooth, and plenty of libations. The latter includes a scotch and bourbon tasting area and three open bars.

If this sounds like your kind of thing, head over to the BGCGM's website to get your tickets, prepare your holiday cocktail attire*, and don't forget to bring a kid-appropriate unwrapped gift.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Memphis helps about 4,000 kids every year with everything from mentoring to schoolwork to health. The 2013 Toy Bash is this Saturday, December 7 at 7 p.m. at Minglewood Hall, which is ADA accessible. This event is for people over 21.

*Unfortunately this does not technically mean to wear a Santa suit and drink martinis.

I write about what’s going on with Memphis music, food, arts, events, sports, people, and culture. Memphians love Elvis and barbeque with a passion that must be seen to be believed, but there is so much more to this place.
