Happy Holidays, Memphis!

Merry Christmas Eve Eve! I'm taking a few days off, but I'll be back later this week. In the meantime, here's some holiday reading.

Taken at the Bar-B-Q Shop on Madison Avenue. Photo via @ilovememphisblog on Instagram.

For something to give back: the 2013 Charitable Giving Guide.

For something to do over the next few days: a few of the things on the Holiday events guide are still going on.

For making New Year's Eve plans: the Guide to Saying Goodbye to 2013 in Memphis.

For something to peruse after you've had a few nogs, or if you're feeling prematurely nostalgic for any reason: the I Love Memphis 2013 Year in Review.

For something to eat/drink (call ahead to double-check the hours): the places I've tried in the last few months, including The Second Line, Greencork, Tamp & Tap, Sweet Noshings, Bleu, The Growler, and  FedExForum (there's a Grizzlies game tonight, and Grizzlies and Tigers basketball games next Saturday, Dec. 28).

For feeling festive: a collection of Memphis-y holiday images from your very own Instagrams tagged #ilovememphis.

I write about what’s going on with Memphis music, food, arts, events, sports, people, and culture. Memphians love Elvis and barbeque with a passion that must be seen to be believed, but there is so much more to this place.
