5 Things To Do 12/27 - 12/29
Happy Zach Randolph Day! I hope you had a wonderful holiday this week with your family and friends, that you had lots of turkey/ham/tofurky and eggnog, and that you're ready for a few more days of celebrating. Speaking of which, here are five super fun things to do in Memphis this weekend.

This is the last weekend that the kids' area of the Botanic Garden will be transformed into a winter wonderland with "snow", hot cocoa, crafts, and games, so bring the whole family each evening through December 30.
2. Trolley Night, South Main Historic Arts District, Friday, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., free, all ages
Truth: Trolley Night is one of my favorite things. This is the last one of the year, so head down to South Main and peruse shops, catch some tunes, and enjoy free snacks and drinks at some of the galleries.
Hoop City is in action all day Saturday at FedExForum. The Memphis Tigers will play Jackson State in the morning, and the Grizzlies will play the Denver Nuggets that evening. Pick one (or both? anybody doing that?) and cheer on our home teams.
For those hard partiers that aren't allowed to stay up until midnight (aka, children), CMOM is hosting their annual New Year's at Noon party on Saturday, December 28. Kids can play games, do crafts and enjoy a 12 p.m. balloon/candy drop.
5. Alex Chilton Birthday Tribute Show, Hi-Tone Cafe, Saturday, 8 p.m., $5, 18 and up
The Hi-Tone is hosting a birthday tribute show for Alex Chilton, Memphis musician and former lead singer of Big Star and The Box Tops, on Saturday night, featuring Ross Johnson and Friends.
If you need more ideas, check out the calendar. The list of NYE events has been updated again if you haven't decided yet how you're going to ring in 2014.
