– In case you missed it last week, the Tiger Basketball schedule has been announced, and it's looking kind of awesome: Louisville! Gonzaga! Rutgers! Can it be November now?

– Thank you, by the way, to everyone who voted for ILM in the CA's Memphis Most poll. You guys are the sweetest.

– Are you a student? Do you want to go to Panama as part of Memphis in May's student exchange? Do it!

– Finally: there's a new IKEA delivery service that will drive to Atlanta and bring the inexpensive home furnishings of the people back to Memphis.

– Good job, guys: Memphis is the second most generous city in the U.S.

– Job alert: Bluff City Coffee on South Main is hiring for coffee shop and bakery positions. Apply at 505 S. Main.

– If you're headed to the Delta Fair, check out this list of tips and discounts.

– Congrats to Justin Timberlake on taking the VMAs for Video of the Year and Best Direction. Also, that NSYNC reunion made my inner 12 year-old girl squeal with delight.

– Lastly, I'm out of town this week (in New York!), so I may be a little slow on the posts, tweets and emails this week. Thanks for being patient with me.

I write about what’s going on with Memphis music, food, arts, events, sports, people, and culture. Memphians love Elvis and barbeque with a passion that must be seen to be believed, but there is so much more to this place.
