Eat This: Frogmore Stew from Sweet Grass Next Door
I realize that it's silly to tell you to eat soup when it's a bajillion degrees outside, but I'm doing it anyway. The Frogmore soup from Sweet Grass Next Door is so good that it shouldn't matter that it's nearly July.
The soup, which is really more like gumbo, is loaded with corn, potatoes, slices of housemade sausage, tomatoes, shrimp and crab. It's savory, but not too spicy. I can't decide if I think it would be good cold or not, but it could be.
It's on the small plates menu, but if you're not ravenous, it makes a decent (and filling) meal.

This looks amazing. I actually just went there for the first time for cocktails and everyone was so attentive and friendly. I cannot wait to go back for lunch or dinner because the menu items all sounded delicious. Definitely not the same old standard menu items and an excellent wine selection!

Their Frogmore Stew is incredible! Hot or cold outside. I have to force myself to try something other than the Shrimp'N'Grits though! They are in the top 3 for Shrimp'N'Grits in the city.
