Celebrate Memphis Summers Past with an Adventure River T-Shirt
Remember Adventure River?
If you're a Memphian of a certain age, it's likely you spent many a summer day sitting on the fake beach or braving the Geronimo slide at the water park.
If you don't quite remember it, Adventure River was located off of I-40 near Whitten Road and opened every Memorial Day through Labor Day from 1985 until 1998. Memphians of all ages flocked to its had water slides, a lazy river and a (slightly terrifying) wave pool.
Here's an Adventure River commercial from the late 80s:
Local designer Josh Horton is honoring Memphis' bygone summer fun place with these super cool, retro-style Adventure River t-shirts.
They're 100 percent cotton black American Apparel t-shirts, and they're $20 each. You can order them here.

So I'm not the only one who found the wave pool terrifying? I have a scar on my foot still proving it was a scary, mean pool, but I loved that place! Totally amazing throwback shirt!
