365 Things to Do in Memphis #250: Germantown Municipal Park

While the weather is insanely pleasant, grab a book, some friends and some bread for the ducks and complete assignment #250 in the 365 Things to Do in Memphis: visit Germantown Municipal Park.

Germantown Municipal Park, Memphis, Tenn.

Municipal Park is one of my long-time favorite suburban hangouts. I spent many quality hours on its playground as a kid, and as an adult, I love it because no matter when you go, it never seems crowded.

There are tennis courts, a pond (with ducks), a pavilion, a playground, and a big open field that’s perfect for playing. There's also a historic home, a giant gazebo and plenty of places to sit and read books from the library next door.
