365 Things to Do in Memphis #223: Eat a Barbecue Pizza
Anyone can put pepperoni on a pizza. It takes people of a certain disposition and geography (like ours) to put barbecue on one. Assignment #223 in the 365 Things to Do in Memphis is to eat a barbecue pizza.
Barbecue pizza exists to keep the peace. It’s a delicious, meaty, cheesy solution to situations where one person wants barbecue and the other wants a pizza. A good barbecue pizza is like a regular pizza, only topped with saucy chunks of pulled pork instead of sausage or pepperoni or other more traditional pizza meats.
