Here’s the situation: you’re a musician. You’re having some kind of show / late night practice / impromptu rock’n’roll party times when suddenly, a string breaks. You don’t have any, and it’s late enough that all of the stores that sell guitar strings have closed. What do you do?

If you’re in Memphis, you hit up the 24-hour vending machine stocked with strings, picks and cords at Consignment Music on Park. This is assignment #141 in the 365 Things to Do In Memphis list.

Guitar String Vending Machine, Consignment Music, Memphis, Tenn.

Now, if only someone would figure out a vending machine system for those late night Muddy’s cupcake cravings.

I write about what’s going on with Memphis music, food, arts, events, sports, people, and culture. Memphians love Elvis and barbeque with a passion that must be seen to be believed, but there is so much more to this place.
