Assignment #126 in the 365 Things to Do in Memphis is to fly the friendly skies (or at least, see how Elvis flew them) by touring Elvis' private plane.

The plane is a 1958 Convair 880 that Elvis purchased in the 1970s and named after his daughter. Lest you think it's like a normal plane, know that it's appropriately tricked out in the King's ostentatious, mirror-laden decorating style. There's a bed onboard (which is crossed with seatbelts to make it FAA compliant), a full dining room, lounges and a blue suede bathroom.

The plane is parked at Gracleland, across the street from the actual mansion. It's separate from the regular mansion tour and is entirely self guided, though TVs on board give information and video of Elvis in action.
