Favorite Place: Antique Warehouse Mall on Summer Ave.
Antique Warehouse Mall is filling the antique store void that Bojo's left when it closed last year. This store is smaller and much better organized, but it's quickly become one of my favorite places to kill an hour.
Here are some of the things I found while wandering around this afternoon.
An entire 1970s living room:
Or this "thirst extinguisher", which is basically a booze thermos.
I'm not sure what evil genius decided that combining a bar and a radio was a good idea, but I applaud his ingenuity.
Memphis State had a fairly impressive football schedule in 1973.
Actually, there's a whole shelf of Memphis items:
Mustache Santa has a posse. If he had a rap album, this would be the cover.
There are a lot of chickens at Antique Warehouse Mall.
Someone went to Florida and returned with these googly-eyed orange salt and pepper shakers. What you can't see is the larger matching sugar bowl.
Antique Warehouse Mall is open Tuesdays - Fridays from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.
