365 Things to Do in Memphis #49: Have a Very Late (or Very Early) Breakfast at the Pancake Shop

Assignment #48 in the 365 Things to Do in Memphis is to have breakfast at the Pancake Shop.

The Pancake Shop serves more than pancakes - they've got all manner of breakfast (and lunch and dinner) options. I had the Texas French toast, hashbrowns and bacon, all of which were delicious. If you like your bacon even slightly crispy, make sure you order it that way.

The Pancake Shop is cash-only; they have an ATM inside. The service when I went was a little brusque, but it seemed like that was part of the experience.

Also, while the sign says "open 24 hours", they're actually open from 6 a.m. until midnight on weekdays and 24 hours Thursday through Sunday.

The next time I go, I'm going to try the Bacon Chip Pancakes. The description is enticing: "Bits of Tender, Crisp Bacon Chips mixed into the Batter makes a Wonderful Taste".
