Random Snow Day of the Week

Random Snow Day of the Week

I hope those of you who went to Schnucks and bought bread and milk are feeling particularly vindicated today.

The Sheriff, Watkins St., Memphis, Tenn.

(See a full gallery of photos from our Snowpocalypse.)

Memphis got 3 - 4 inches of snow overnight, with a little bit more snow (and some potentially hazardous freezing drizzle) expected today. Here's a list of what's open, what's closed and travel conditions around the region.

We're all celebrating our snow day in different ways. People are building snow critters, throwing snowballs, hiding in our houses in fear, exploring our quiet neighborhoods and checking in at the Snowpocalypse on Foursquare.

The roads are clearing up, but aren't great yet, so if you're traveling, please be careful. Drive slowly, give yourself plenty of time to stop, and don't try to steer against a skid.

What does one make with bread and milk? Am I missing some amazing recipe where bread and milk must be consumed when it snows? - Confused Downtown Memphian

I agree with Brian. Never understood why bread and milk are staples for snow days? I prefer soup and coffee.
