Memphis Has Half-Price Zoo Admission, Lower Crime, and Mega-Region Status

Josh is a local web developer and designer. He just launched a pretty awesome music site called My Top List that lets you make and share lists of songs and albums (think lists of top 10 records of the year, top 10 songs to listen to while working, etc.).

In other news:

- Memphis is apparently an emerging mega-region. Currently, I think we may be the smallest one on the map, but it doesn't matter. If Kansas City can be a megaregion, so can we.

- Good news, everybody: Memphis is getting safer. The number of major crimes reported in 2010 was 10 percent lower than in 2009.

- The Memphis Zoo is offering half-price general admission for the month of January, which makes a regular adult admission ticket $7.50.
