Free Museum Admission Tomorrow, Traveling YoLo and Birthday Boy #14

Matt Ross-Spang - 365 Memphians

Happy birthday to Matt Ross-Spang, studio engineer at Sun, member of the Bluff City Backsliders and all-around really nice guy.

In other news:

- Tomorrow, in addition to a brand new governor, Memphians are getting free museum admissions. Tours at Sun are free, the Metal Museum is free and audio tours at Elmwood cemetery are half price.

- If you've still got Christmas money to spend, Hoot and Louise, Runway, Strut, Crazy Beautiful and Lanksy's 126 are all having fairly major sales this weekend.

- Good news for fro-yo freaks - local yogurt company YoLo is catering. They'll bring their portable yogurt and topping stations to events, and, sometime in the next year, have a refurbished airstream that they can take to festivals. If only they'd park it downtown during work hours.

Daphne, Memphi…
YoLo! So love the idea of a portable YoLo! Can't get enough of their vanilla with Makeda's butter cookies on top. I walk in thinking I'm just gonna get a couple of spoonfuls to satiate my craving and end up with a 1/2 lb. mound of vanilla, sherbet, mango, butter cookies, heath bars, animal crackers, nuts, blueberries, strawberries and oreos and 3 gummy bears. I look at my creation and I always think its gonna be really really good, or really really nasty. (But it's usually really really good. :)
