Rain, Halloween Events, and 500 Free Grizzlies Tickets

Blue-ick, Memphis, Tenn.

The Blue-ick

Parked on Marshall, downtown Memphis, Tenn.

In other news:

- I feel a little ridiculous saying something about this, but I'm so excited that it's raining.

- This is short notice, but there are free tickets available for tomorrow night's Grizzlies season opener. Center Marc Gasol bought 500 tickets to the game to give away to Memphis fans. All you have to do to get them is go to the FedEx Forum at 5:30 p.m. Each person can get two tickets.

- I updated the Halloween events listings with a few new events (including a haunted house). If you're looking for parties, Paul is making a list. And if you already have your costume made, you should snap a picture and enter it into the I Love Memphis Halloween Costume Contest (p.s. - One of the fabulous prizes is a pair of Grizzlies tickets).

There is also a Pipes Spooktacular event at St. Mary's Episcopal Cathedral (700 Poplar) from 6pm-8pm. Great spooky concert for kids and adults on the massive pipe organ, wear costumes, AND of course, treats, etc. in the CRYPT immediately following. If you've never been to one, it's worth a visit. :-) http://www.stmarysmemphis.org/cms/index.php
