- I've got it on good authority that there's going to be a squirt gun flash mob at the Third Thursday block party on the Main Street Mall. When the song "Hot, Hot, Hot" is played, there's going to be a big squirt gun fight that will end at the end of the song. Come armed (and be cool - don't shoot the unwilling). It's going to happen around 6:45.

- The Flyer has a food feature on Memphis menu items named after people that's totally making me hungry. It's also making me laugh, mostly because of the picture of bartender Adam Hawk eating a Mr. Beefy sandwich.

- There's a ton going on in Memphis tonight: Top Gun at the Orpheum (7 p.m., $7), the Rock for Love VIP Barbecue (Ardent Studios, 6 p.m.), opening night of Sister Myotis' Bible Camp (Theatreworks, 8 p.m.), and the first show of Rock for Love weekend (HiTone, 9 p.m., $5)
