- If you don't have plans tonight, head to the Zoo for some rock'n'roll. The Zoo's brand new music series "Plugged In" kicks off tonight with Dr. Zarr's Amazing Funk Monster. It starts at 7 p.m. and is $12 for non-members.

- Bad news for cheesesteak fans - South Philly closed. While their sandwiches and delivery service were great, I'll miss their Tasty Cakes most of all.

- In case you missed it, the Poplar Lounge has re-opened under new management and is starting to become a formidable music venue. Every Thursday night (including this one), they're having a beer bust DJ'ed by Buck Wilders and the Hook-Up.
