In other news:
- It looks like Memphis is going to get hit with some fairly nasty weather tonight. There's a tornado watch, and severe thunderstorms are expected starting this afternoon. Go ahead and program MLGW's number into your phone - you can call 544-6500 to report any outages. Be careful if you're traveling this weekend.
- Memphis Light Gas and Water is looking for volunteers to track their energy use. One thousand households in Shelby County will receive a advanced energy meters that will allow MLGW to track how more information about energy consumptions affects use. If you're interested in volunteering, apply here.
- There are still a few days left to vote for Skatelife Memphis' Pepsico grant. You can vote more than once per day until April 30th. Right now, they're ranked 15th. To win, they need to be first or second ranked.
- Speaking of skates, Memphis Roller Derby's Women of Mass Destruction (my team!) are headed to Evansville, Ind. to take on DCRD tomorrow night. If you're in Evansville, the bout is at Memorial Coliseum tomorrow night.
