Weekend Photos and Other Information for Your Memphis Life

Day 57:

57/365

It's OK. Go home.
In the R.P. Tracks ladies room
Memphis, Tenn.

Day 58:

58/365

The black thing is my dog, the blue things are my legs, and the stringed thing is my ukulele. I was sitting on the porch yesterday, desperately trying to pretend it was spring.

In other news:

- The first-ever I Love Memphis party is happening on March 22, 2010 at South of Beale at 5 p.m.. If you read the blog, are a Twitter follower or Facebook fan, or just love the city, please come out. I'll have the sign there, South of Beale is giving us some drink specials, and Westside Cakes is baking a cake.

- If you've ever wanted to start your own business, there's an event coming up that you need to attend. It's called 48 Hour Launch, and the goal is to launch start-ups in a single weekend. It's going to be held at LaunchMemphis downtown. Bring your skills, your ideas, and be ready to stay up all night.

- Graceland's newest exhibit, "Elvis Presley: Fashion King" opens today. It features some of Elvis's most outrageous outfits, custom clothes, and accessories. The New York Times has an excellent write-up of the exhibit (and they call Elvis the "Lady Gaga of his day").
