- Alex Chilton's public memorial is this evening at Minglewood Hall. It's from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m., and will be fairly casual. There aren't any musical performances scheduled, but there will be a photo slideshow and music that Alex made and/or loved.

- Also tonight, there's going to be a short film festival at Vini. The Let's Get Out Of Here Film Tour is billed as the "only sci-fi rock'n'roll-trans-queer-short-film-tour" coming through town this summer. It's free, and Live From Memphis will be showing some of the best films from Lil' Film Fest.
