A Little Cafe Eclectic in Harbor Town

One of my favorite Midtown haunts, Cafe Eclectic, just opened another branch on Mud Island.

Little Cafe Eclectic, Memphis, Tenn.

While the original Cafe Eclectic has always walked a fine line between restaurant and coffee shop, Little Cafe Eclectic is very much a coffee shop. It’s a super cozy space with plenty of tables and comfortable chairs.

They don’t have a full kitchen, but they’ve got a ton of fresh-baked goodies and a grilled peanut butter and jelly sandwich (which is made in a pannini machine). I was pleasantly surprised to see that the new Eclectic was selling day-old bread (it’s $1 off the original price).

They’ve got a full drink menu, and they’re running a special where if you buy a Cafe Eclectic travel mug for $4, all of your to-go coffee refills are $1, tax included.

The hours at Little Cafe Eclectic are different – Monday through Saturday, they’re open until 9 p.m., and Sunday, they’re open from 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. They’re located right across the street from Miss Cordelia’s.

I write about what’s going on with Memphis music, food, arts, events, sports, people, and culture. Memphians love Elvis and barbeque with a passion that must be seen to be believed, but there is so much more to this place.
