I stopped by Wesley Highland Terrace retirement community on Wednesday to take a picture of Jean and Bill Blackard.

The community was buzzing - there was a Christmas concert going on in the rec room, the beauty shop was just as gossipy as a scene from Fried Green Tomatoes, and a stream of residents were coming down from their apartments to check mail and say hello.

Wesley Highland Terrace is constantly looking for community organizations to come in and present, perform or teach classes to residents and for events that the residents might like to go to so that they can stay connected to Memphis. If your group or event fits the bill, let them know.
