Welcome to Wrench & Ride Bicycle Summer Camp!
This summer we are pleased to offer two levels of our Wrench and Ride Camp. We have also extended our day to 2:30 p.m. So, bring your bike and a lunch, and join us for lots of wrenching and riding!

Wrench & Ride Bicycle Summer Camp: Foundations
Week 1: June 11-15, 2018
Grades: Rising 5th, 6th and 7th graders

Week 2: June 18-22, 2018
Grades: Rising 8th, 9th and 10th graders

This week-long camp will teach Campers the basics of riding on the road, as well as maintaining their two-wheeled steeds. This foundational camp covers essential skills for riding safely in a neighborhood setting: including proper road etiquette, rules of the road and route planning. Rides this week will focus on taking safe routes and highlighting the accessibility of Memphis’ destinations to bicyclists using our current transportation infrastructure.
The wrenching portion of the week will give Campers hands-on experience (using their own bicycles) changing flat tires, performing pre-ride safety inspections and completing basic bicycle maintenance & minor repairs. Each Camper will become familiar with their own bicycle’s components through proper instruction led by a skilled mechanic. We will also cover more complex topics such as bearing systems, drivetrains, and brakes, on adult bikes provided by Revolutions.
